Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Pounce ("the app") is built so that as little of your data as possible ever leaves your device. This page explains exactly what the app accesses and what happens to it.

Camera

Pounce uses your device's front camera to detect your body position and count reps (squats or push-ups) so it knows when to stop your alarm. This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. Camera frames are never recorded, saved, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere — not to us, and not to any third party. Nothing from your camera leaves your phone.

Notifications

Pounce asks for notification permission so it can trigger your alarms at the times you set. This is handled entirely by Apple's system notification framework on your device; we do not operate a push notification server and do not receive any data through this permission. If you start a free trial, Pounce also uses this permission to schedule a single reminder on your device shortly before the trial ends.

Data we store

Your alarms, workout history, and app settings are stored locally on your device only. Pounce does not have a server, does not require an account, and does not sync your data anywhere. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Subscriptions and purchases

Pounce is unlocked with an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, Pounce uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription service. RevenueCat receives your purchase and subscription history and a randomly generated anonymous identifier, along with basic technical details needed to process the request, such as your app version and device type. This information is not linked to your name, email address, or any account, because Pounce does not have accounts. It is used to keep your subscription working and to understand subscription performance, not for advertising. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.

Analytics and tracking

Pounce does not use advertising or tracking software, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Apart from the purchase information described above, we do not collect usage data. We do not sell your data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.

Children's privacy

Pounce does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only data that leaves your device is the anonymous purchase information described above.
